NUST

Computer-based entrance exam for NUST Engineering and Computer Science programs. Held at NUST campus (Islamabad) and select centers, it assesses Math, Physics, and English at HSSC level. Conducted multiple times a year (Series 1–4) with scores used for merit ranking. No negative marking; selection is purely merit-based.

NUST

Entrance test for NUST Business, Social Sciences, and related programs. Covers Quantitative math and English (approximately equal weight). Offered as part of NUST NET sessions alongside other disciplines. No negative marking; admissions based on relative merit.

NUST

Specialized NET for Architecture and Industrial Design applicants. Includes a Design Aptitude section (50% weight) along with Mathematics and English. Tests drawing/design sense plus basic math and language skills. Conducted in NET Series schedule. No negative marking.

NET variant for candidates from Pre-Medical background applying to programs like Biotechnology, Agriculture, etc. Emphasizes Biology (50%), Chemistry (30%), English (20%). No math is tested. Administered in regular NET sessions. No negative marking; merit-based selection.

Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC)

Pakistan's nationwide entrance exam for MBBS/BDS admissions, mandatory for all medical colleges. The MDCAT is a paper-based test held in multiple cities simultaneously. It consists of 180 MCQs covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning. Total time allotted is 3 hours. There is no negative marking in MDCAT. A minimum qualifying score is set to 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS in 2025).

NTS

Standardised test for undergraduate admissions in NTS-affiliated universities, assessing verbal, quantitative and analytical reasoning. Valid for one year and can be taken multiple times per year.
